JVR intro post

Hello and welcome to my very first JVR Ministry Blog post!

JVR has an interesting beginning, read the about page for some details about the ministry.

This site is called JVR Ministries because my the ministry ideas are popping like cooking popcorn kernels in my mind. This ministry, JVR came alive over 15 years ago. On our way to St. Louis from Indianapolis, for a family trip, I wrote details of this ministry in my notebook, as fast as I could.

Lets stop right here.

There are several clues that this is from God, directly from God.

1.) We have 4 children, all young, all quiet as I wrote. (Do I need to go into detail here?)

2.) I get very car sick, always have, and still do. Usually I can’t even read a map or the GPS on my phone without getting so sick I can’t move.

3.) When I say details, I’m talking details, from the purpose of the ministry, to the budget, including start up costs, to the policies and procedures, and employees/volunteers. I still have these notes, and it still amazes me on how God works. I’ll go into more detail in future blogs.

After a while, God spoke to me about writing a book about this ministry. These details are for another blog as well. The book has been written and will hopefully be published this year or next. (2018 or 2019) This past month, our Heavenly Father has placed this blog on my heart. So here I go!

The JVR blog will start out with details of what this ministry will look like. Over the next several months, there will be suggestions and guidelines of how this ministry will work in various communities. This blog will be a reflection of the actual ministry. This blog will set up a community that will be used for questions, verifying help groups and programs already in motion, and prayer support. Of course all of this is very vague right now, but keep posted. It will become clear as we move forward.

I have a few questions for you. Please pray about the below questions and send me a response on the contact page. I’m not asking for any commitments at this point.

1.) Would you be interested as a prayer warier for this ministry?

2.) Would you be interested as a volunteer for this ministry?

3.) Would you be interested as a mentor for this ministry?

(I’ll have some forms and details available in the near future.)

That’s it! My first JVR Blog! Hope to see you come back often. The website is rough, but it’s a work in progress. 🙂
