Encouraging Word: For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. Philippians 2:13 NLT http://nlt.to/

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not frighted, neither be thou dismayed: for Jehovah thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

Pray 22-Pray to Believe-Timothy Eldred Devotion in the You Version App

Life has a way of throwing curve balls. But like in the game, practice helps strengthen the reaction time and skill to hit the curve balls out of the park. But, as they get stronger and more frequent, a person tends to tire out. One of my devotions today caught me by surprise. I try to have several devotions going at one time. I use the you version app on my phone. That allows me to have the freedom to read scripture and feed on the word, any time and anywhere. Lately I’ve been trying to choose one devotion at least, that deals with prayer. I’m trying to learn more about prayer so I can, maybe, have better educated blogs. 😊

In today’s blog I was touched at the core. The gatcha story. I’ll let you download the app and read the devotion for yourself. But let’s just say today’s devotion left me in tears. I realized that I’m frozen by the gotchas. It seems that in the past few years, the gotchas have been gaining strength and frequency. I’m afraid to move, don’t know which way to turn. But today’s devotion and bible verse reading gave me clarification in who’s in charge and who’s running scared.

I took the attached picture last week, playing around with photography. Now as I look at it, there’s a story. The shadow is me, with a wave of force coming my way to overtake me. But look. The footprints in between. Foot prints of Jesus there for me, to hold me and protect me and to keep me.

No matter what is going on in your life right now, God is stronger and has already won! No matter what the future looks like, We only see the superficial exterior. Be still and Trust God, is what God tells me. Take a deep breath and breath out slowly. Be still and let God!! This prayer I pray for myself, for my family, for my friends, for you!! May you see God today!!
