“I will give thanks unto Jehovah with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvellous works.”
Psalms 9:1 ASV

A special day to stop and give thanks for all we have. Personally I could go on and on about the blessings God has given. How our attitude changes when we change focus off the negative and onto the positive. I would like to give a challenge if I may, to make a list of 10 things you are thankful for. It can be anything, small or silly or huge, anything. It would be cool to post it here on this blog, but keeping it private between you and God is cool as well. I’ll make mine:
10 things I’m thankful for:
1) the ability to write this prayer blog.
2) my loving, encouraging husband
3) my relationship with God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit
4) our children and their spouses-and to be’s
5) our grandchildren
6) our Health
7) our Home
8) the beauty in nature around us and the ability to see and enjoy it
9) my mom and step mom and siblings
10) my friends, old, young, and Inbetween.
This is very general. Yours can be detailed, deep, vague, whatever you want. The idea is to think of Gods blessings. When I think this way, it inspires me to seek ways I can share these blessings with others. Sharing with others doesn’t have to cost money or be tangible. Sometimes the most helpful or biggest blessing can be non-tangible.
Love and blessings your way! Remember our Heavenly Father as we celebrate Thanksgiving!
