National Day of Prayer

May 4, 2017

“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

I Timothy 2:1-4

What a better day to post than on the National Day of Prayer!

Do you make it a habit of praying for our nation? Our leaders? Our government?

My prayer in this area use to be very spotty. But when God blessed us with a home overlooking the city, I would pray for the city, the leaders, the schools and business’s, churches, just about every day. Now that we’ve moved I feel led to pray for our city and for our president and vice-president. The prayers include protection, wisdom, knowledge, salvation, relationship strength, and comfort only the Holy Spirit can give. This prayer Is focused for the whole family and staff.

No matter what the feeling is about our current president and country, they need prayer.

It’s a very scary world out there, as well as a very beautiful world. We have so much to be thankful for! And we have so much to pray for! If we focus our prayers on the president and vice-president, not only will God answer our prayers, but our attitude will change, our outlook on life and others will change, and maybe even open our eyes on how we can make a difference. If you’ve been led to pray specifically for someone or something this year, please share!
