“As they were gathering in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him, and he will be raised on the third day.” Matthew 17:22-23

Praying for the prayer blog subject this week, I had a dream. It’s a very strange dream, and I can’t really remember the details. The best I can do is to write the way it made me feel. This really sounds crazy, but as I reason with myself, I did pray for a subject, and this is what I got.

The dream:

Sort of a huge clay like gray ball rolling towards a person. At first the person runs away in fear and panic. Then, this person stops, turns around, and with fear and caution, reaches out and touches the ball. Instantly the person dissolves into the ball and the whole mass turns into something beautiful and peace full. Then another gray ball approaches this beauty, only this time bigger and more threatening. Again the beauty reaches out and touches the ball, just to be swallowed up and the whole mass again transforms to another, larger more beautiful mass. This happens over and over, getting larger and larger, and then I wake up. When I woke I wasn’t frightened at all. I wanted to go back to sleep and see more, to understand, to find out what happened next.

This is one of those dreams that you’re sure God is trying to tell you something. This is what it meant to me.

The translation:

The challenges in a Christian life start off small, growing, increasing in size and severity as time goes by. Yet by faith, trusting in God, each challenge becomes a larger blessing, strengthening His children. The quicker we reach out and embrace the situation and let God handle it, the quicker we leave fear and all the negativity behind. It reminded me what God has revealed to me in the past through songs, messages, and bible studies. God made the universe, us, and everything. God gave us His son and made salvation available to us who accept it. How can any challenge, fear, or disaster be bigger than our God can handle? Why can’t I embrace this truth every day, in every situation, every time? How much sweeter would my life be if I would?

These verses came up in my journal while writing this:

“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8

“For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, His ears are open unto their prayers. “ I Peter 3:12

How does God speak to you? Would love to hear your story on how speaks to you or how God turned something awful to something beautiful in you life.
