Remember Who You Are

“But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
Acts 1:8 ASV

“He giveth power to the faint; and to him that hath no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: but they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:29-31 ASV

The picture is a simple picture of a Bird of paradise flower located out our front door. I used a couple of apps on my phone to make it look fun. Our technology today allows someone like me, with no artistic ability to create fun.
Our God uses us as we are, to do His Awesome Miracles in His Holy name! Yes, to us who are His, remember who’s we are!
I do forget sometimes, well, most of the time. I have to stop myself from beating myself up. I’ve worked on not puting myself down. It’s hard to be humble without being prideful. Yes, you heard me correctly. To be humble does not mean to put yourself down. And to think of yourself highly does not have to be prideful. To balance the two it’s important to know who’s you are. To speak of myself here, I am weak, not worthy of anything. Yet because I am Gods child who died and rose for me, who created me as I am, I am strong and worthy of Gods Love, the daughter of the King! Isn’t that cool? He made me, I am His! He uses me as I am, weaknesses and all! Through Him I am strong!
By keeping this in mind, by giving everything to God, by resting in His arms, I can be free to be me. I’m not saying I do this all the time. It’s a learning process. It’s a growing process. I will say this, when I’m truly giving everything to our Heavenly Father, true sweet joy follows, and it’s amazing.
How about you? How are you doing with this process of trusting God with everything? I would love to hear your story. Your struggle and triumphs!
