Revisiting the Subject of the Prayer Closet
November 21, 2017
“But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” Mathew 6:6
Haha!!! OK, here it goes…you’re either going to be disgusted by this or have the laugh of your day! I said I was going to be real and revealing in this blog, so here it goes…
If you’ve been reading my prayer blogs you may remember the blog about prayer closets. I said that I had been envious of others prayer closets. I also said that I realized that my prayer closet is my car. Well, what I didn’t say is that most of the time I do my devotions, bible study on…the toilet. Yes you heard me right. It goes back to the young mother stage when the toilet was the only alone quiet time I had available. Some of you can relate, I’m sure. Some of you might be thinking TMI and may have already quit reading this blog. Haha!! the purpose of sharing this little bit of info is this.
This past weekend we moved into our new home. We weren’t looking to move, we were settled in our apartment until we were ready to start looking. But God had different plans. We now live in a home that once again, is perfect for us. God has again blessed us more than we asked, expected, and deserve. That’s why this prayer blog is late this week. Sorry for those who’ve been looking and waiting. But to be honest it’s kind of exciting to know that there are people reading this and anticipating the next blog!! Thank you!!!
As I was saying, our new home has a closet for the toilet! I’ve never had a room just for the toilet before. Its pretty cool though. A window and a door and a nice private room away from the shower and sink. I now officially have my very own prayer closet!!
Anybody out there have an unusual prayer closet? I really don’t think God minds how unusual your prayer closet is or if you even have one. God just wants to hear from you and Love you! Having conversations with God, Jesus the son, and the Holy Spirit, along with reading His word, is the best way to give direction and calm down in this crazy mixed up world we live in! Enjoy your week!!
