Don’t underestimate the power of children’s prayers.

“Jesus, however, invited them: “Let the little children come to Me, and don’t stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

“When Jesus saw it, He was indignant and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me. Don’t stop them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

“Then He called a child to Him and had him stand among them. “I assure you,” He said, “unless you are converted and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child — this one is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one child like this in My name welcomes Me.”

This week we witnessed or 7th grandchild become part of our family.

A little over a year ago, when our newest addition was welcomed into our children’s home as a foster child, her now sister, while lovingly holding her, made this statement. “I wish we could keep her.” I feel like that was her prayer to our Heavenly Father. An innocent prayer from a child.

A little over 27 years ago, another child, (our youngest son) prayed for a sister. We, adults, had given up and thought our family was complete. Surprise! Another answer to a child’s prayer! I have no doubt that these same types of prayers happen more than our human minds can comprehend.

This weeks blog is a reminder to keep our prayers simple as a child and our faith strong as a child! I am in constant reminder of this truth!
