Powerful Prayer
“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”
James 5:16 NLT

This might be one of the hardest things for us humans to do. Especially in today’s social media generation. I remember, not too long ago, when it was the smiles, the fake faces that we all hid behind. Now it’s the computer, the phone, and the tablet.
I do think it was easier when we were younger, to share our secrets and feelings. But then again, maybe that’s just my naive nature. It seems harder to trust people now, or is it trust? Or pride? Or shame? Or a mixture? I don’t know, but I do remember the days when we humans met in groups, face to face and shared fears, concerns, troubles. At the end of the day we all felt better, had a better perspective on life and relationship. We knew we weren’t the only ones, and we were able to encourage each other with the Love of Christ.
I know things will not be changing back to the way they were. And because of that we need to ask God for ways we can be proactive in our current situation. People don’t want to see dirty laundry, but they do want to see real.
So how do we balance this in our social generation? This is the problem we need solutions to. Solutions that will encourage all and give God the Glory! Solutions that will lead all to Christ our savior.
How ironic that by prayer we can come up with this solution. And when we come up with the solution, we can pray with greater power.
