Our Holy Father

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name”

Matthew 6:9

I’ve recently heard somebody compare other religions gods to the the one and only God of all.

We want to live in peace with everybody, but that doesn’t mean we compromise our belief. It doesn’t mean we lash out in judgment either.

We should not try to change people or their traditions. We should not change ourself unless we’re changing for and in obedience to our Holy Father, the one and only true God.

This reminds me of one of the many stories in the Bible. The story where Jesus met the woman at the well, He did not condemn her or tell her she was wrong for her beliefs or traditions. He talked to her, which as a man and a Jew He should not have, per the custom of the day. He told her things about herself that no stranger would know. He shared the good news that he would give living water if she would ask, and she would not thirst anymore. He shared the truth and she accepted it. She not only accepted this truth, she ran off to share with the others.

We are to share the truth with love and let the Holy Spirit  do the rest. We are not to judge or condemn others for their worship of other gods. We are not to accept other gods, or worship or entertain the gods either.

What we can and should do, is share our love for the one and only true living God, who is Father of all creation with all who will listen.

Let us give thanks and praise to the one and only God!

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1

“And God said…and it was so”

Genesis chapter 1 says this 14 times.

Read Genesis 1 and let’s pray we see God today for who He is!! God, the one and only Awesome Holy God!! Our Holy Father!
