Resolution Update
We’re well into the year 2020. How have your resolutions been coming along? Here’s a recap of mine:
Prayer Life: Write in my prayer journal.
I’ve been writing more in my prayer journal, and I love it. I’m not writing daily, but I really enjoy the freedom of writing my thoughts and prayers and then reading them at a later date. Very inspiring and encouraging for me. It’s a growing experience I enjoy.
Bible reading: Start a Historical Bible plan.
I started this plan, but then my sister-in-law invited me to participate in another Year Bible Plan. I accepted and found that I really enjoy the study. I put the Historical Bible Plan on hold. But I’m still reading the Year Bible Plan.
Exercise: Walk or some type of exercise 30 minutes a day.
Oh, this one is still a work in progress. I’m sporadic at best.
Diet: Vegan diet and take my vitamins.
I’ve been pretty diligent at eating the plant-based diet. Except for a week when I ended up with the flu. Chicken noodle soup was my friend that week. But I’m back with the plant-based diet now. The vitamins? Again, sporadic.
Writing: Learn more about writing blogs and work on my travel blog, working with Team Reese Starting a Blogging Business.
This is still on my to do list.
Ministry: Work on the website www.jvrministries.com and read more blogs from other bloggers for networking.
Again, on my to do list.
Books: Finish the publishing of my second book (almost there, working with my publisher, covenantbooks.com), and work on marketing for both books.
I’ve finished my part for now. Waiting for my husband to finish the cover. Once he’s finished with the cover, the book will be ready for publishing. Very exciting!
Focus Word Wisdom: By praying for Gods wisdom in everything, listening and accepting this wisdom, Gods will be done.
God has been showing me wisdom in so many ways I didn’t even expect. In fact, its amazing the wisdom He gives us when we least expect it. God has opened my eyes to something that’s truly liberating. Along with the wisdom God gives us, we need knowledge on how to use that wisdom for His glory. We can use the wisdom for harm if we’re not diligent on keeping our eyes on Christ. I once wondered what the difference was between wisdom and knowledge. There’s a very distinct difference. One works with the other. A person can have wisdom, but not the knowledge on how to use that wisdom. And one can have knowledge on a subject, but not the wisdom to know how to use the knowledge. I’m expecting a very exciting year as God continues to fill me with His wisdom. I pray that He will use the wisdom through me to give Him all the Honor and Glory, and to encourage and help others grow closer to Christ!
I’ll try to keep you updated on my progress with this list, at least quarterly.
