Deep Breath, Intense Prayer…Release! God has this!
“Therefore, I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or argument.”
This is the week that everyone has been stressing about, anxious about, dreading, anticipating, hopefully praying about.
No matter what happens we must all know that God is in control, no matter what.
We, Gods children, must be in prayer! In prayer for our leaders, country, world, families, ourselves, for everything! If we are in prayer with our Holy God, and listen and obey to what He tells us, we need not fear about anything.
Yes, it’s a very scary world we’re living in. It’s easy to sink into anxiety, anger, fear and hatred. But what does any of that do for us? How does any of the arguing, hate talking and bickering help? Prayer is a powerful thing, more powerful than any of us can imagine. If we understood, really understood how powerful prayer is, I know that we would be on our knees constantly, as we should be.
Even as I write these blogs about the need of prayer, I am surprised when the unexpected happens. When my prayers are answered I am in awe of how awesome our Holy God is. I write these blogs out of obedience to our almighty God, not because I’m a mighty prayer warrior, as we, Gods children, all should be.
I’m reminded of the sweet, soft, powerful prayers I heard my mother-in-law pray. I’m reminded of the prayers that were lifted up by a couple I use to babysit for. It seemed that anything that came out of their mouths, God answered. It was amazing! I’m reminded of the prayer meetings I’ve been to at churches, revivals, camp meetings, and conferences, of the sweet peaceful presence of the Holy Spirit. I remember one of my own simple prayers being answered on finding a lost material item, and one of my desperate prayers being answered while close to death after my accident.
We don’t pray enough!
Though I know that God IS in control! And I know that God IS the only way, the only answer! I also know that without God’s Son Jesus who died for us, that without Jesus as my Savior I would be hopeless. That without the Holy Spirit living in me, I would be empty and aimless. My biggest quest in this life is to share this truth with you! With as many people as will listen. God IS in control and He gave His Son Jesus to all who would accept, and He Gave His Holy Spirit to live in His children. My prayers are for all to accept this truth and for those who do accept Christ as their savior, know that God Has this!!! He has us!!!
