Fruit of the Spirit: Peace
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.

I hate to keep bringing up our world today. But let’s face it, it’s a mess. We want to say it’s worse than ever before, but this world has been a mess for a while. It was in such a mess years ago that God destroyed it with a flood, saving a remnant to start over again. There are many accounts in the Bible about the messes in this world. But…our God has provided us with a Savior, a way to be with Him, a choice that everyone can freely make. But in the mean time, those of us that accept Gods gift of His Son, Those of us who accept the Grace and Salvation gift sacrificed for us, have to live in this messed up world. God gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit to comfort, lead and indwell within us. He gave us the fruits of the Spirit to help us live through this messed up world. One of them is Peace. These fruits of the Spirit are priceless and worth more than anything we can comprehend. And they are ours to have if we accept. Peace is something that our world does not offer, at all. Oh the news talks about it. Politicians promise it. Beauty pageant contestants use it in their interview speeches. We seek, wish, and want it. But true peace can only be received by God.
Beauty pageant contestants stand up in front of the judges and start their speech, I wish peace for all the earth. But in reality God has already given peace to all the earth. He’s given His son for all to accept. He’s given His Spirit that dwells among us for all to be filled. It is up to each of us individually to accept this. We can share this truth with those around us. We can let people see the peace only the Holy Spirit can give. But we can’t make people accept it. God doesn’t force anybody to accept it, He offers it. Those who accept this precious gift of forgiveness and salvation, have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, we Gods children can live full of peace in a messed up world!
A peace beyond our understanding!
Real genuine Peace. Letting go, letting the Holy Spirit Fill Us. Let’s let go and let the Holy Spirit flow Geniuine Peace through us. Don’t try, don’t force, don’t pretend, just let.
