Happy Easter Week 2022
What is Easter?
I remember as a child, we would dress up in pretty bonnets and dresses with our shiny new shoes. The boys would wear ties and either fancy shorts or dress pants. And families would have matching outfits. Easter was a special day for our whole family to go to church.
At that time Easter was all about the Easter bunny and all the chocolate candy he was going to leave in our baskets, and Easter egg hunts, loved those Easter egg hunts.
When I was a teen and young adult, I would practice lent. I’d choose something to give up for lent. Most of the time it was soda or chocolate. And Friday’s during lent we would not eat meat. Fish and meatless spaghetti were our staples. Since I didn’t like fish at that time, my favorite goto was the meatless spaghetti. I really had no idea what Easter was really about. Then, as a newly married young adult I had the Awesome privilege of hearing about who Jesus is and what He did.
I heard the true meaning of Easter. Yes Jesus died on the cross on what we call “Good Friday”.
But Easter, Easter is what it’s all about! Easter is when He rose from the dead. Easter is when God showed us humans, His creation, what He did for us.
On Good Friday an innocent man was murdered.
God’s Son was murdered!
For us.
He rose again to show us we have victory through Jesus, with God.
He gave His Holy Spirit to us to comfort and empower us to give God our Heavenly Father all the glory and praise.
But don’t take my word for it! We have Gods word!
Read Gods words for yourself. Listen to God’s voice!
My prayers are that all who read these blogs will be inspired and enlightening seek to the truth. That all will be encouraged and all God’s children work together in Love for God’s Glory.
“Now many Samaritans from that town believed in Him because of what the woman said when she testified, “He told me everything I ever did.” Therefore, when the Samaritans came to Him, they asked Him to stay with them, and He stayed there two days. Many more believed because of what He said. And they told the woman, “We no longer believe because of what you said, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this really is the Savior of the world.””
John 4:39-42 HCSB
“I want their hearts to be encouraged and joined together in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God’s mystery — Christ. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him.”
Colossians 2:2-3 HCSB

““For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. Anyone who believes in Him is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the One and Only Son of God.”
John 3:16-18 HCSB
