Our God is an Awesome God!

“But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live.” And the Lord said, “Behold, there is a place by me where you shall stand on the rock, and while my glory passes by I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will take away my hand, and you shall see my back, but my face shall not be seen.”
Exodus 33:20-23
As I read today’s devotion I’m reminded of Gods super natural being. His virgin birth, his miracles, his resurrection from death. I’m reminded of all the spiritual wars and victories going on around us.
I have to wonder if the enemy doesn’t use ignorance and isolation as tools to keep us out of his way. I think this happens more than we realize.
If we, Gods children, would be active in Gods perfect will for us, wow! If we would, or could comprehend the impact our alertness and obedience to God would have on our world. I can’t even imagine how our world would benefit.
In fact my mind is blown away trying to imagine Heaven. The absence of evil! The ever presence of Glory in the Highest form! I mean, think about it. Our God can not be here on earth because of the evil. He sent his Son, and sent His Holy Spirit, which is God, yet…
I’ll be totally honest, I can’t comprehend it at all! That glimpse I had the day of my accident is just that, a glimpse, a wonderful amazing glimpse. Heaven, well I’ve heard some say they think Heaven will be boring. Heaven is beyond our imagination and don’t listen to yet another one of satans lies, Heaven is not going to be boring! The presence of God is definitely not boring!
The above verse tells us of Moses wanting to see Gods face. Just talking with God, seeing his back side as He walks away, WOW! Our vocabulary doesn’t even begin to explain such joy, peace, love, HOLINESS as our Father God has waiting for us in Heaven.
