He Has Risen!!
“He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”
Matthew 14:29-31
I don’t know why, this isn’t a new revelation, and it’s surely not the first time I’ve heard it. And these concepts and prayers are with me daily. But for some reason a light just came on in my brain. A light that illuminates God’s Love for us. The realization that all that’s good is ours, as children of God! And all that’s good is ours to share! How Awesome is our Holy Father!!
I need to remember this. It is hard, for me anyway, to constantly be confident in today. To boldly live each day knowing that God has our future no matter what. I seem to always be waiting for the shoe to drop. Or wishing the days away for a better day. Or second guessing myself. Each day as I learn to depend and trust God I can enjoy the Joy only God can give, and rest on the assurance that only comes from our Heavenly Father. But like Peter sinking when he takes his eyes off of Jesus, when I miss my devotions or prayer the anxiety floods in.
So, since this blog was God directed a little over a year ago. And each subject is prayed about weekly to be sure I’m sharing what God wants me to share, this week I’m going an extra step further. Feeling led to reach out to others in devotions, and the handy tool that YouVersion now has, I invite you to connect with me in daily devotions. If you don’t already have the You Version app, download it. If you don’t want to download the app, they also have links I can send to you. Let me know if you want to be included in a group devotion or a one on one devotion. I’m excited to hear from you!!
Happy Easter!!
