Today Will Never Come Again!

“Come now, ye that say, To-day or to-morrow we will go into this city, and spend a year there, and trade, and get gain: whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. What is your life? For ye are a vapor that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall both live, and do this or that.”

Years ago I would wish my days away. Then, I learned to enjoy each day as they were, no matter how difficult they may have been. Ironically I find myself stepping back and wishing my days away again. My prayers and my mind keep saying thank you for today, help me live today for you Lord! And I really want to mean it. But if I’m honest with myself, in my heart I’m wishing the days away again. So my prayer today is that God will fill me with joy for the here and now! I have nothing at all to complain about! Nothing at all to worry about! Everything to be thankful for! Everything to be joyful for! I pray that God will make everything I do and say, about Him, for Him, giving our Holy God in Heaven all the praise and glory!
