When I was a young child I loved haunted houses. I loved to be scared. My parents would turn our garage into a haunted house for Halloween. I loved it. In fact, halloween use to be my favorite holiday. I also loved scary movies, the scarier the better. That was before I became a Christian. When I turned 21, my new husband and I visited churches. That is when I learned about the death and resurrection of Gods only son, and why Jesus died for me (and you). That is when my life changed forever. That is when I realized that the Spiritual stuff was real. Real and dangerous. It was playing with Fire. The only Spirit I need is the Holy Spirit! His power is real and almighty and Holy and real! So why all this about Halloween in the middle of May? There’s a Spiritual world that exists all year round, year after year. We can be strengthened by the Holy Spirit or beaten down by the evil spirits.

Before I was a Christian I was a good person by the standards of mankind. The scary stuff was innocent on my part. Like this picture, an innocent young child strolling along and enjoying the beauty of God’s life. But like the serpent in the garden of eve, the seemingly non-important, seemingly innocent details creep into our lives. Our lives can be turned upside down in a second. The Spiritual world is real, it’s around us. The Spiritual world is stronger than the strongest human being that ever was, or ever will be, with the exception of Jesus Christ. With Jesus we can be like this child, always enjoying God’s Beaty without worry. Do you know Him? Have you given yourself totally to Him? Christ our Lord and Savior?
