Superstition
“The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.” Genesis 1:2
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.” Ephesians 6:12-20
Full moon and Friday the 13th! Wow! People are going crazy!! I think it’s funny how the number 13 seems so unlucky to so many people. Personally I have so much to be thankful for the number 13. Three of my children were born on the 13th. My husband had a very successful open heart surgery on the 13th of 2013, and today? One of my sons was pinned Chief, a life long dream of his.
As a child of God we know that every day is God’s day. Every day! Maybe you’ve read a blog I posted a while back about how I don’t like to say lucky. Superstition is a real thing. I personally feel that superstition is of the spiritual world, which is real. And scary! Scary because it’s stronger than any of us. The spiritual world is good and evil. The only one strong enough to fight and beat the evil is God. I’m not going to mess around with that!
We can be sure of peace and joy as children of God. He sent His Son for us. His Son gave His Holy Spirit for us. Yes we as His children, are covered!
I’m a science fiction nut. As well as a futuristic geek. I love the stuff. The Bible is full of fun stuff like that. For real!
A dead man touched another’s bones and came alive!
“So Elisha died, and they buried him. Now bands of Moabites used to invade the land in the spring of the year. And as a man was being buried, behold, a marauding band was seen and the man was thrown into the grave of Elisha, and as soon as the man touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and stood on his feet.”
2 Kings 13:20-21
A valley of bones rattled and became alive!
The Valley of Dry Bones
Ezekiel 37: 1-14
Sounds like Indiana Jones right?
When I was a teenager I loved scary movies. The scarier the better. I was not a Christian and thought evil was make believe. Halloween was my favorite holiday. Yes, I know. But it was a fun scary day.
The difference between then and now is then, I was not a child of God and I didn’t think evil was real. I thought it was just for play, fun stuff for a scare. Now, as a child of God I know evil is real and strong and can hurt us. I don’t want to mess with evil, it’s our Heavenly Fathers battle, and He’s already won!
So superstition? Real? Make believe? Play with fire and you will get burned.
Supernatural is real, and we need to step up our prayer life. Me included! God is Supernatural! He’s already won! I want on His side! What about you?
