Temptation

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

Matthew 6:13

There are so many temptations around us every day. Some are stronger than others. Some bother us and some don’t. Temptations come in waves, crashing against us, wearing us down.

This is yet another reason to keep our eyes on Christ our savior! (The reasons are endless)

As I’ve mentioned in many of my blogs, evil is strong. Stronger than any human, except, Jesus. (Who is God in human form) Some say evil did get to Jesus in the end, and yes evil thought it won when the evil killed Gods Son. But no! Jesus rose from the dead! He broke the evil bond for each of us so we can be with our Heavenly Father forever!

But, evil is still around us, and we need to stay away as much as we can. There’s a lot we can do to stay away from evil, to stay away from temptations. The Bible has a long list. We have our conscience as well. And, as children of God we have the in dwelling of the Holy Spirit. However, temptations have a way of finding us no matter where we are, or who we are. That’s why we need to pray Matthew 6:13! That’s why we need to keep our eyes on our savior.

If we can’t ask God for help, we need to ask ourself why.

Do we really want Gods help to stay away from the temptation?

Are we allowing ourself to be in the temptation?

Are we placing our trust in ourself or others instead of our Holy Father?

Stop and reflect over the last several blogs from Matthew 6. Have you figured out the thread? Keep checking back for the next blog to see if you’re right.

Hint: it has to do with prayer
