Today’s World
“but the worries of this age, the seduction of wealth, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.”
Mark 4:19 HCSB
As we’re all living in this new 2020 way of living, I listen and watch around me. In this age of being forced to immerse into social media and be active in an electronic way of life, I hear voices of fear, anxiety, hopelessness, and despair. I also hear voices of love, encouragement, hope, and promise. These voices that are screaming from our computers, tablets, phones, and televisions are confusing at the best.
The news media has lost its respect and trust. Some people are afraid to step out their door while others are already protesting and fighting for freedom. I see and hear the hate. I think that is really fear speaking. I see and hear the false stories we are being fed from the media. I think that is control hungry people wanting to mold and control us.
We as Gods people want to be responsible, to be safe and keep others safe. But are we being told the truth? How do we know if we are being told the truth? Who should we believe? The media has lost our trust. The political realm has changed their agenda away from being for the people.
So who do we trust? Who do we follow? What do we do? God. God. Pray.
We as Gods children need to pray for wisdom more now than ever before. There’s no reason to add more anxiety. There’s no reason to panic. God is not surprised, and neither should we be. We need to do the same thing today as we needed to do at the end of 2019, pray, love, obey, rest in Gods arms.
God gave us His Son, Jesus, who died for our sins and rose again so we can be with them in Heaven. Jesus went to Heaven to prepare a place for us, His children, and left us the comforter of the Holy Spirit.
If you are a child of Gods, please pray with us as we pray for each other to grow stronger in Christ. If you are not a child of Gods, or you don’t know what that means, message me, or simply type your first name in the comments and we will pray for you. God knows who you are. He knows each of us. He knows how many hairs are on our heads.
We serve an awesome Holy God!
