Happy Thanksgiving!
November 22, 2017 “I will give thanks unto Jehovah with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvellous works.” Psalms 9:1 ASV http://bible.com/12/psa.9.1.asv A special day to stop and give thanks for all we have. Personally I could go on and on about the blessings God has given. How our attitude changes when we change focus off the negative and onto the positive. I would like to give a challenge if I may, to make a list of 10 things you are thankful for. It can be anything, small or silly or huge, anything. It would be cool to post it here on this blog, but keeping it private…

Revisiting the Subject of the Prayer Closet
November 21, 2017 “But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” Mathew 6:6 Haha!!! OK, here it goes…you’re either going to be disgusted by this or have the laugh of your day! I said I was going to be real and revealing in this blog, so here it goes… If you’ve been reading my prayer blogs you may remember the blog about prayer closets. I said that I had been envious of others prayer closets. I also said that I realized that my prayer closet is my car.…

The Sky Says it All
November 11, 2017 “But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8 ASV http://bible.com/12/act.1.8.asv I just love taking pictures of the sky. The only problem is, the pictures never do it justice. At least the ones I take. This picture of the clouds with streams of light peaking through is among some of the breathtaking views I’ve experienced. I chose this verse because it describes how this scene made me feel. It’s like the Holy Spirit was coming down from Heaven and everyone could…

Remember Who You Are
November 5, 2017 “But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8 ASV http://bible.com/12/act.1.8.asv “He giveth power to the faint; and to him that hath no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: but they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:29-31 ASV http://bible.com/12/isa.40.29-31.asv The…

Our Father Loves Us
October 29, 2017 “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus unto all generations for ever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21 ASV http://bible.com/12/eph.3.20-21.asv To some, the title of this blog is very obvious. Yet others, well believe it or not, this title is either very foreign or makes them angry. Yes I know, I cannot understand why this title would make anybody angry. Yet it does, and who am I to judge? Judge you may ask. Let me explain. A few years ago…

What Does God Want of Me?
October 19, 2017 “The God that made the world and all things therein, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; neither is he served by men’s hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;” Acts 17:24-25 ASV http://bible.com/12/act.17.24-25.asv This verse made me really think, dig deep inside my head and heart and think. I’m thinking I have to do something for God. That He needs my help. As I read over my journals, both in paper and electronicly I see a common theme. Me trying to know what God wants of me, and…

Who am I?
October 15, 2017 “Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?” Exodus 3:10-11 ASV http://bible.com/12/exo.3.10-11.asv I’ve been thinking a lot lately of what God wants me to do. There’s a lot of desire and stirring in my soul to move forward. This picture is from one of our journeys across America last year. The clouds speak to me. I see a large Eagle 🦅 with its wings…

Broken Things
October 10, 2017 “because if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved:” Romans 10:9 ASV http://bible.com/12/rom.10.9.asv “Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?” Exodus 3:10-11 ASV http://bible.com/12/exo.3.10-11.asv I heard this song on the radio and it inspired this prayer blog. The tune plays over and over in my…

You can always find somebody that has more than you, as well as less than you.
September 2, 2017 “For we are not bold to number or compare ourselves with certain of them that commend themselves: but they themselves, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves with themselves, are without understanding.” 2 Corinthians 10:12 ASV http://bible.com/12/2co.10.12.asv At first glance at this picture you might see an ugly dead tree branch. But a closer look reveals beauty and a home for animals. We tend to compare ourselves with others, listen to others criticize our actions. We tend to base our success and failures on what others say about us. I used to tell my children, there will always be someone that has more than you, that does…

Our God is an Awesome God!
September 26, 2017 “But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live.” And the Lord said, “Behold, there is a place by me where you shall stand on the rock, and while my glory passes by I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will take away my hand, and you shall see my back, but my face shall not be seen.” Exodus 33:20-23 As I read today’s devotion I’m reminded of Gods super natural being. His virgin birth, his miracles, his resurrection from death. I’m…
