Last weeks blog I shared about listening to our Heavenly Father. That lead to this weeks subject, obey.
Obey, it’s a four letter word in our generation today.
Obey? What? Be a slave? What about freedom? What about self happiness? What about me?
When we learn that obeying Gods word is the very thing that will make us free. The very thing that will make us happy. We will realize that being obedient to Gods word is the very thing our world needs.
I realize that this is not a popular subject. It is a hard subject, for all of us, me included. And it’s nothing to judge others for. Let’s face it, while the earth was perfect, before hate and wars, before bullying and competition, there were Adam and Eve. Only two humans on the entire earth. And what a perfect earth it was. Yet they both chose to disobey. We have no room for judgments. Let us help each other out of love. Let us pray for each other and lift each other up. Let us encourage and support each other. Let us keep each other accountable. We need our Heavenly Father! We need Jesus His son! We need the comforter, the Holy Spirit. We need each other, brothers and sisters in Christ, to obey Christ. We need to Love our Lord and each other.
“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Mark 12:30-31
It sounds so easy. But it’s not always easy, and we need to learn through prayer and Gods word, to go to our Heavenly Father for help. We need help to love others. We need help to love ourselves.
