Happy New Year 2021!

“In the same way the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings. And He who searches the hearts knows the Spirit’s mind-set, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.”

Romans 8:26-27 HCSB

Happy New Year Everyone!

2020 has been different for everyone around the world! So many differences in how we live our daily lives to how we celebrate the Holidays to everything in-between.

The one thing that always remains the same, the one thing we can all count on that never changes, is God, Jesus His Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We’re finishing up a busy Holiday season that includes Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Hanukkah. Christmas brings out Christmas songs, decorations, movies, and a special miraculous air.

Many will argue and point out that Christmas Day celebrated on December 25 is not a correct date. Many will point out that The Christmas celebration was combined with the pagan celebration of winter solstice. There are so many christmas movies out that are fun to watch, but in reality have nothing to do with the birthday of Jesus. Many of the Christmas songs are fun songs, many are not about the birth of our Christ child. So why is this holiday so exciting and special? It’s typically a happy holiday that is celebrated across the world and across many people types. It’s known for the miracles and time of giving. The one thing that doesn’t change is God, His love for us, His goodness. All the happiness and miracles and giving spirit is from Him. He’s the God of us all, even the ones who don’t believe Him or don’t want Him. If we keep that attitude of happiness, joy, and excitement all year round, just think of how the world would be a better place.

But then there is the extra loneliness and heavy burdens that come with this time of year. And I’m sure this past season was even worse.

Let’s all start the new year of 2021 in an even deeper state of prayer. A prayer not only for ourselves, our family and friends, but for those around us, our country, our world, and our enemies.

When we don’t know how to pray, when we are out of words…remember to be in the presence of our Holy God through Jesus Christ, letting the Holy Spirit fill us and voice our prayers to our Heavenly Father!

Let’s make “PRAYER” our action word for 2021!

May you all have a Blessed New Year 2021!
