Gods Voice
“Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray. My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man. But as for me, I will come into thy house in…

Resolution Update
We’re well into the year 2020. How have your resolutions been coming along? Here’s a recap of mine: Prayer Life: Write in my prayer journal. I’ve been writing more in my prayer journal, and I love it. I’m not writing daily, but I really enjoy the freedom of writing my thoughts and prayers and then reading them at a later date. Very inspiring and encouraging for me. It’s a growing experience I enjoy. Bible reading: Start a Historical Bible plan. I started this plan, but then my sister-in-law invited me to participate in another Year Bible Plan. I accepted and found that I really enjoy the study. I put…

Wisdom for 2020
“She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” Proverbs 31:26 Another year ends! Another Decade begins! Time for taking a deep breath of new fresh air! Time to start new! Time to do that thing that’s continuously been put off until tomorrow. Tomorrow is the day! 2020! We do make such a fuss about new year resolutions! We make huge promises to ourselves and others. It’s said that most new year resolutions fizzle out. Don’t let that be a discouragement. Everyday is a great day to make a new resolution. We should strive everyday to be better, make a needed change, try something…

Merry Christmas!
December 25, 2019 “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Matthew 6:9-13 Merry Christmas Everyone! Did you figure out the thread of the past several blogs? Yes, The Lords Prayer! What a gift! A gift of a simple prayer model from the Messiah Himself! Yes the birthday we celebrate today is the Son Of The Most High God! The Messiah’s birth! No matter what the…

Temptation
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Matthew 6:13 There are so many temptations around us every day. Some are stronger than others. Some bother us and some don’t. Temptations come in waves, crashing against us, wearing us down. This is yet another reason to keep our eyes on Christ our savior! (The reasons are endless) As I’ve mentioned in many of my blogs, evil is strong. Stronger than any human, except, Jesus. (Who is God in human form) Some say evil did get to Jesus in the end, and yes evil thought it won when the evil killed Gods Son. But no! Jesus rose from…

Thanksgiving Trip 2019
This marks the very first blog in the Nesters choo-choo trip travel blog. Las Vegas Thanksgiving 2019 What a fantastic trip! Full of memories and experiences! Exhausted, yet fulfilled! As grandparents of 7 children, ages 2 to 11 along with a 17-year-old foreign exchange student, and 9 adults, we not only made it work, we all had a terrific time. We stayed at the Bluegreen Club 36 resort with the presidential suite and a standard room next door. The rooms are beautiful with gorgeous views and had everything we needed. The resort is located off the strip, yet close enough to shuttle or walk to the Las Vegas Strip. (We…

Daily Bread
Give us this day our daily bread, Matthew 6:11 Do we pray daily for our needs? And if we do, are we satisfied with the answer? When we pray for our daily bread, what are we really praying for? More than likely we want more than we need. And if we don’t get what we want, we tend to complain, get depressed, feel sorry for our self. Me included. I’m not pointing my fingers at anybody. If I would point my finger at anyone, there are always three more pointing back at me. I don’t come from a wealthy family. But at my lowest, I’ve always had what I needed.…

Gods Kingdom
November 29, 2019 “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10 Gods Kingdom When we have children we do everything we can for them. We provide shelter, nourishment, safety, love, everything they need to grow into responsible, strong, respectful adults. During those years we have rules the children need to follow in order for us to protect them. If our children break those rules they step out of our safety net and risk the chance of becoming harmed, or at the very least, uncomfortable. As a loving, caring parent we follow through with the consequences of breaking these rules. As harsh as…

Our Holy Father
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name” Matthew 6:9 I’ve recently heard somebody compare other religions gods to the the one and only God of all. We want to live in peace with everybody, but that doesn’t mean we compromise our belief. It doesn’t mean we lash out in judgment either. We should not try to change people or their traditions. We should not change ourself unless we’re changing for and in obedience to our Holy Father, the one and only true God. This reminds me of one of the many stories in the Bible. The story where Jesus met the woman at the well, He did not condemn…
