Wild Flowers
November 4, 2018 “Just as you don’t know the path of the wind, or how bones develop in the womb of a pregnant woman, so you don’t know the work of God who makes everything.” Ecclesiastes 11:5 HCSB “Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!” Luke 12:27-28 The song, “Free to be me” by Francesca Battistell…

Half Done
October 27, 2018 “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Phi 1:5 “For it was You who created my inward parts; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will praise You because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, and I know this very well.” Psalms 139:13-14 HCSB http://bible.com/72/psa.139.13-14.hcsb Technology has come a long way. And in 2018 I’m sure we’ve only seen the beginning. As with everything since the fallen angels, good can be bad, depending on how it’s used. Yes there’s a lot…

Shine Gods Light!
October 21, 2018 “That light shines in the darkness, yet the darkness did not overcome it.” John 1:5 HCSB http://bible.com/72/jhn.1.5.hcsb The Bible talks about a light shining in the darkness. There are several mentions of this in scripture. Remember the song let this little light shine, don’t hide it under a bushel? Darkness can never over take light, let me say that again and wrap my head around that, darkness can never take over light, but light always takes over darkness. The only way to get rid of light is to turn it off, or hide it. Darkness no matter how dark it gets, will not cover up the light…

#LivingtheDream
October 13, 2018 “If anyone has this world’s goods and sees his brother in need but closes his eyes to his need — how can God’s love reside in him?” 1 John 3:17 HCSB http://bible.com/72/1jn.3.17.hcsb “Therefore, through Him let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of our lips that confess His name. Don’t neglect to do what is good and to share, for God is pleased with such sacrifices.” Hebrews 13:15-16 HCSB http://bible.com/72/heb.13.15-16.hcsb Social media has changed our world, our society, our daily living. We live in an ever changing world. We may not live like the Jetsons or Star Trek. We…

Miracles
October 6, 2018 “And he said, “Bring them here to me.” Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass, and taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up twelve baskets full of the broken pieces left over. And those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.” Mathew 14:16-23 There will always be poor with us. “For there will never cease to be poor in…

Jars of Obedience, Faith, and Trust
The Widow’s Olive Oil The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.” Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?” “Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.” Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your…

Prayer and Training
The next step would be prayer and training. So what comes first? I’m going to say the obvious, prayer. For without prayer, how do you know what training would be best? There are so many training choices, something for everyone and for everything. So this blog will be dedicated to prayer. Of course personal prayer is what started this ministry JVR to begin with. And its prayer that has kept it alive for over 15 years, even though it seems to the human eye to be lying dormant. I can’t help but argue that case. Though JVR has taken a quiet sideline, I truly don’t believe it’s been lying dormant.…

Observe the Rock!
Notice the rocks how beautiful they are. They do nothing, they just sit there being shaped and molded by the water and the weather. How beautiful they are! Yet the Word tells us that even the rocks will praise our Holy Lord! “He answered, “I tell you, if they were to keep silent, the stones would cry out! ”” Luke 19:40 HCSB http://bible.com/72/luk.19.40.hcsb “How will it be known that I and Your people have found favor in Your sight unless You go with us? I and Your people will be distinguished by this from all the other people on the face of the earth.”” Exodus 33:16 HCSB http://bible.com/72/exo.33.16.hcsb As a…

The Many Voices
“Then He said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the Lord’s presence.” At that moment, the Lord passed by. A great and mighty wind was tearing at the mountains and was shattering cliffs before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was a voice, a soft whisper.” 1 Kings 19:11-12 HCSB http://bible.com/72/1ki.19.11-12.hcsb So many voices in our head! What voice do we listen to? This was my main challenge as…

Grandmothers Prayers
“Grandchildren are the crown of the elderly, and the pride of sons is their fathers.” Proverbs 17:6 HCSB http://bible.com/72/pro.17.6.hcsb “Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not conceited, does not act improperly, is not selfish, is not provoked, and does not keep a record of wrongs.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 HCSB http://bible.com/72/1co.13.4-5.hcsb In our world today we are so focused on our self. On our wants and our desires. If we stop and focus on God our Father and all the blessings He has already given us, we’d be better equipped to face the challenges this world throws our way. God has blessed me…
