Hope you had a fun and relaxing Labor Day weekend
“Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.” U.S. Department of Labor “Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.” Eph 4:28 I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing Labor Day Weekend! When I was young, Labor Day marked the end of summer vacation, end of swimming season, and…

Inheritance
I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well. 2 Tim 1:5 “A good man leaves an inheritance to his grandchildren, but the sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.” Proverbs 13:22 HCSB http://bible.com/72/pro.13.22.hcsb What is a good inheritance? As humans we think money, wealth, the family business. I’ve never been a product of this kind of inheritance. And I never will be. But, the type of inheritance that I’ve received is so much better and has made me a rich woman! This inheritance is the inheritance of…

Summary of JVR Ministry
To start this ministry I needed to come up with a plan. Below is a summary of JVR as a whole. Yours can be similar or completely different. The main thing is to pray for Gods direction and listen to Him. There are so many helpful services out in the community already. Check your churches, community centers, libraries. A word of caution, be thorough in your investigation. Trust is so important and the one thing that can sink a ministry before it starts is lack of integrity and trust. Be sure you would use the services/tools yourself. Check out this site, CWJC. This is were I started my training, and they…

Don’t underestimate the power of children’s prayers.
“Jesus, however, invited them: “Let the little children come to Me, and don’t stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Luke 18:16 HCSB http://bible.com/72/luk.18.16.hcsb “When Jesus saw it, He was indignant and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me. Don’t stop them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Mark 10:14 HCSB http://bible.com/72/mrk.10.14.hcsb “Then He called a child to Him and had him stand among them. “I assure you,” He said, “unless you are converted and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child — this one is the…

Adoption Blessings
“For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “ Abba, Father! ”” Romans 8:15 HCSB http://bible.com/72/rom.8.15.hcsb The other day one of our twins decided to be silly and texted our youngest that she was adopted. Haha yes, that old sibling teasing. These siblings however are adults. And the one teasing, of all people, is in the process of adopting his second adopted child. (He has 4 children!) So it made me think about adoption. Then I read this verse listed above. I’m an adopted child of our Holy Father. And while having…

Bowls of Prayers
“When He took the scroll, the four living creatures and the 24 elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the saints.” Revelation 5:8 HCSB http://bible.com/72/rev.5.8.hcsb With my crazy imagination I like to think of this bowl of prayers as a bowl of holy holy’s. Praises to Our Awesome God. The devotion I read says that our prayers are stored and answered at the right moment. Since I’m not a bible scholar I can’t prove my opinion, but I’m under the impression God doesn’t store our prayers, He answers them. And it may be a crazy…

Moving Forward
My first Novel is now published and in bookstores and available online, both in paperback and electronic. I’m in the process of sending my second Novel, the book written about JVR to be published. I estimate this book should be in bookstores next year at this time. I have dedicated all profits from these books to go towards the JVR ministry. Check out The Story of a Teenage Dyslexic! While searching my files on JVR I came across the below blogs I wrote in 2011:

How My Passion for Christian Woman Job Corp (JVR) Started
Isn’t it exciting when God talks to you? Have you ever seen a person in a store, or in a car talking with full facial expressions, interacting with one or both arms and hands, as into a full fledged conversation, but nobody is near? Today with cell phones, it’s a pretty common site. Well, having a conversation with God is sort of like that. Nobody else knows you’re talking to somebody, but inside your emotions skyrocket. Sometimes when you try to share what God has said, people look at you like your some kind of nut. That is how my passion for Christian Woman’s Job Corp, (CWJC) started. For as…

Prayerful Attitude
July 28, 2018 “Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer each one.” Colossians 4:5-6 ASV http://bible.com/12/col.4.5-6.asv This is not as easy as it sounds. Especially when you yourself have been hurt. It is so easy to lash out when hurt. When our buttons are pressed. There are a few who have a gentle answer to everything. I’m not one of those to be blessed by such a true gift as that. And from what I’ve seen in my lifetime, not many of us are. And the very…

Everyone has a story
July 21, 2018 “Whatever you do, do it enthusiastically, as something done for the Lord and not for men, knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24 HCSB http://bible.com/72/col.3.23-24.hcsb “Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength.” Ephesians 6:10 HCSB http://bible.com/72/eph.6.10.hcsb Everyone has a story. Everyone! The person who just cut you off on the way to work. The celebrity that seems to have it all. The homeless person in the corner with a torn piece of cardboard. The neighbor who seems angry at the world. The family member who seems to thrive on drama.…
