Walking in Faith
July 26, 2016 Walking in Faith…What does that look like? What does that feel like? The Bible has stories of people walking in Faith and those who don’t. I have a tendency to question how Gods people could question Gods provisions after they witnessed so many miracles first hand. Yet here I sit, in my own life, after experiencing miracles and definite confirmations from God, questioning if we did the right thing. Fearful that the walls of the sea will come crashing down on me at any time. I see the huge walls of the sea on either side of me, so tall and frightening. I see the deep waters…

Roller Coaster of Life
July 21, 2016| Yes it’s July and definitely a new day for the Hymer Family. What a ride it’s been, and it’s not over! Most of you know most of what’s going on, but no details yet. Let’s just say I’m learning a lot, physically, mentally, and mostly spiritually. Faith is not as easy as the phrase ‘just have faith!’ Yes simple for a child but not so much for an adult. All I can say at this point is that God is in control and I am walking blindly definitely not in my understanding. As soon as I know what is going on I will share it. God is…

Time
May 28, 2016 WOW! I can’t believe it’s already May 28! The last time I posted back on April 14 it was all about the vegan meals I was creating. That was loads of fun, really it was. But we left on vacation to see our grand-babies, and yes our children as well. 🙂 That was the last of the vegan diet and the meal creating. But all is well. So many things have happened since then, including my diet. As I said, I’ve gone back to a non-vegan diet. Closely watching my carbs and the junk. So far so good. What’s happened you ask? Our life has come to…

My mentor. Every Christian should have one.
March 12, 2015 Every Christian should have a mentor and every Christian should be a mentor. My mentor was my mother-in-law who passed away Sept 8, 2014. The thing was, she didn’t even know it. What a sweet Christian woman! She wasn’t perfect, but that’s what made her the perfect mentor. She showed me how to be a loving mother and wife. She also showed me what it is like to live for Jesus, no matter what. She hardly made it to church, yet she was faithful in her bible study. Her eyes lit up whenever the subject of God came up. She voiced her opinion which most of the…

Revelation
February 22, 2015 The Book of Revelation has always inspired and allured my interest. The History Channel on Comcast aired a two part show on Revelation at the end of December of 2014. While these types of shows are very interesting to me, they seem to bring up more questions than they answer. One of my many confusion topics is the 144 thousand. At one time I thought I had it all figured out, but HA! No, not at all. In fact I’m more confused now that before. However, while reading one of my devotion plans from YouVerson named, you got it, Revelation, God spoke to me through chapter 7.…

JVR intro post
Hello and welcome to my very first JVR Ministry Blog post! JVR has an interesting beginning, read the about page for some details about the ministry. This site is called JVR Ministries because my the ministry ideas are popping like cooking popcorn kernels in my mind. This ministry, JVR came alive over 15 years ago. On our way to St. Louis from Indianapolis, for a family trip, I wrote details of this ministry in my notebook, as fast as I could. Lets stop right here. There are several clues that this is from God, directly from God.
